Arts health and creative ageing

My mission is to open doors to future aged care by using a new approach to creativity and life.

This section offers a glimpse into my research with people living with dementia, and the role art-making can play in supporting health and wellbeing.

If you’re interested in working together in aged care, you’re very welcome to visit Artintuit, where I share more about my work as a creative ageing specialist in nursing homes and respite centres.

Creativity is a basic human need. We’re all creative in some way—whether through cooking, gardening, making, or simply choosing how we live and express ourselves.

Yet many people are denied this opportunity, often due to physical or cognitive challenges, but also through a lack of support, guidance, or confidence.

Through my work, I’ve supported many people to reconnect with their creativity—experiencing moments of joy, self-expression, and wellbeing.

I now offer Creative Ageing art classes in the community for people living with dementia who are still at home and would like to be part of a supportive creative group.
